Invasive Plants – KVR, Driftless Dialogue

June 19 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Invasive Plants threaten ecological health, agriculture production and create other problems in our environment. The NR40 rule is intended to reduce the spread and impact of invasive species. Mary Bartkowiak will discuss the NR 40 rule and share insights on invasive species currently present or those that are on the watch list for SW WI.

Mary Bartkowiak is a proud Wisconsin native. She has lived in Stevens Point for most of her adult life, and now calls  Oneida County and the Northwoods home. She holds a B.S. in Biology and M.S. in Forestry/Biology from UW-Stevens Point. She works for the DNR’s Division of Forestry within the Forest Health program, as an Invasive Plant Program Specialist out of Rhinelander.

Presentations are free and open to the public; refreshments and socializing at 6:30 pm. Talk begins at 7:00 pm.
