Recycle and Restring Event
November 18 @ 10:00 amFree
Local musicians are invited to attend a free recycle and restring event at Parrish Music in Viroqua. This free event will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at 10 a.m.
Musicians can bring their old guitar strings for recycling, as well as get their electric or acoustic guitars restrung with new strings, furnished by D’Addario, for free. This is valid if with a non-perishable food item.
Details about the instrument string recycling program can be found: http://www.terracycle.com/en-US/brigades/daddario-playback“We have been doing a Strings for Food event for the last seven years and are always proud to help fill our local food banks for the holiday season,” said Parrish Music owner Ted Parrish. “This year is even more exciting as we are now able to recycle all the strings we gather at the event (and during the year). A lot of our students take advantage of the opportunity to get new strings and perhaps try a new string, while helping their community. It’s a win-win for everyone.”
D’Addario has been consistently committed to the environment, working to reduce their company’s packaging waste and use the most environmentally responsible packaging available on the market. Their partnership with TerraCycle allows them to further reinforce their role as an environmental leader in the music industry.
TerraCycle is a global leader in recycling typically non-recyclable waste, working with companies to implement recycling initiatives and finding solutions for materials otherwise destined for landfill.
