Notice of Presidential Preference Vote and Non-Partisan Election
Our Spring Presidential Preference Vote and Non-Partisan Election will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 and our polling location is the Church of Christ in Viroqua for all wards. Please enter the building at the rear entrance as the front entrance will be locked. Absentee ballots can be obtained by contacting the City Clerk with a written request via myvote.wi.gov, by email at email@example.com, or by calling City Hall Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm until Friday, April 3, 2020 to set up an appointment to vote in person as our office is currently closed to the public. Bring your photo ID. A sample ballot is listed below.
On Election Day we will be limiting the number of voters in the building at one time due to the social distancing needed to keep everyone, including the poll workers safe. You may be requested to wait outside during peak times so please be patient. We ask that only the voter comes to the polls, please do not bring your children if at all possible. We always like to see young future voters during the democratic process but we ask that during the Covid-19 pandemic you not bring them with you for their safety as well as everyone else. If you need to register to vote, please download the form EL-131 from the elections.wi.gov website and bring it with you with your proof of residence.
If you want to help with this election, please consider being a poll worker. We are at an extreme shortage! Contact City Hall at 637-7154 Ext 11 if interested.
