Viroqua Airport

Viroqua has its own airport with a 3,500 ft. runway capable of handling twin-engine aircraft and smaller planes. Regularly scheduled air passenger service is available only 45 minutes away in La Crosse.

Runways 11 and 29 (110 degrees, 290 degrees) at the Viroqua Airport are blacktop and runways 02 and 20 (020 degrees and 200 degrees) are grass. With a $50,000 gift from the City of Viroqua, airport volunteers built a new terminal building at Viroqua to accommodate the needs of pilots, visitors and air passengers. There are 11 hangars on the field with 12-14 aircraft based on the field. There are 15 to 30 aircraft movements in each 24 hour period. Approximately 75% of the aircraft movements are local traffic and 25% of the aircraft movements are from out of the area. The current 3,500 foot blacktop runway is expected to be extended to 4,000 ft in the near future.
