Since the completion of the Temple Theatre restoration in 2002, Viroqua has served as a cultural and civic center for our surrounding communities. Viroqua’s growing and vibrant community has attracted talented musicians, artists, actors and artisans from across the country.
Arts and entertainment are easy to find here. Activity options include jazz and harp festivals, blue grass concerts and live music venues, art openings, art festivals where regional artisans showcase their works and much more.
Unique to a community of Viroqua’s size is that we house three theaters. Enjoy a cabaret at The Fortney Underground Theatre, take in a play at Temple Theatre or see a local production and even learn to become a performer at The Ark visual and performing arts community center.
