Farmers Market

Celebrating Community at Southwest Wisconsin’s Best Farmers Market

The Viroqua Farmers Market is held from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every Saturday from May through October at 220 S. Main St. in the Western Technical College parking lot. More than just a place to shop, the Viroqua Farmers Market is a community gathering that fosters a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. It’s an opportunity for residents and visitors to connect with local farmers, the Amish community artisans, and fellow community members. Many vendors are happy to share their knowledge, offer cooking tips, or share stories about their products and practices.

The market offers a diverse range of products that reflect the agricultural richness of the region, including fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, and plants, many of which are organically grown. Local farmers and gardeners sell their harvest directly to customers, ensuring produce is fresh, seasonal, and often picked just hours before the market. In addition, the market features an array of homemade and artisanal goods, including locally crafted items such as baked goods, cheeses, honey, maple syrup, preserves, jams, pickles, and an incredible array of arts and crafts. The vendors take pride in their products, often using traditional methods and high-quality ingredients.

Ensuring access to fresh, locally grown produce is important to the Viroqua Chamber. Many vendors accept SNAP, WIC, and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition benefits. Using your benefits at the Viroqua Farmers Market is easy — we encourage recipients of benefits programs to join us.
