Scenic Tours & Sights
One of the most relaxing activities in the area is driving our windy, county roads looking for wildlife. The area is beautiful with rolling hills, class A trout streams, the Mississippi River and a variety of hardwood trees that display their fall colors that take your breath away. Tour our local vineyards and organic farms, get a glimpse of the Amish, see unique round barns, choose from several historic walking tours, take a short drive to the Mississippi River (take Hwy 56 West to Genoa to Lock and Dam #5) or travel along the Black Hawk Trail to follow the Native American retreat from the last war in the Midwest.
