Tuesday, May 2, 7pm at the Vernon County Museum
The Battle of Bad Axe, which ended the Black Hawk War of 1832 was not a “battle” in the traditional sense of the word. It was lopsided in many ways in favor of the federal forces, and many atrocities were inflicted on Black Hawk’s band. Wisconsin historian Dr. Patrick Jung will present a program on this pivotal moment in our region’s history.
