Basic Spoon Carving – Driftless Folk School

Come enjoy a day learning the basics of the art of spoon carving! This class will cover knife use and safety, basic carving strokes, and carving flat ware and simple spoons. This class will be a solid introduction to knife-work as it pertains to spoons, but with limited coverage of axe work, sharpening, understanding wood, and other skills peripheral but ultimately necessary to spoon carving.
