Artist Statement |
I create using an intuitive, abstract expressionist approach, working to create the essence of a place or emotion. Accepting the imperfections and finding joy through the chaos, I paint life.Life is beautiful and messy, calm and chaotic. There is joy, and there is suffering. It’s hard, it’s easy, it’s emotional…it’s everything all at once. When I create art, I want it to reflect the joy and beauty that shine through the struggles. Painting the essence of place or emotion, I want to bring you the feeling of that moment. |
