Viroqua Cemetery Association Annual Meeting

On Monday, June 24, 2024, the Viroqua Cemetery Association held its Annual Meeting at Viroqua City Hall.   The meeting included the election for three board seats.  The official results are shown below:

• David Banner 8 votes
• Alan D. Hagen 19 votes
• Dian Krause 7 votes
• Merle Martin   19 votes
• Odell Solverson   23 votes

Write in votes were cast for: 

• Kathy Doerfer 3 votes
• Loann Frie 1 votes

The unofficial tally was completed by Brian Turben, Cemetery Sexton, and the members of the Board who were not on the ballot.

The final canvass count will be performed by Brian Turben, Cemetery Sexton and Jeff Clifton, Secretary/Treasurer.  This will include a review of Cemetery office files to validate eligibility of all votes.  It is estimated that the official results will be available the week of July 1 – July 5.
