A special day at the Viroqua Farmers Market where the young local artists, farmers, and entrepreneurs get the chance to sell their handmade and homegrown goods! All kids vend for free, all they need to do is register in advance!

Mother’s Day Celebration

Join us on Mother’s Day for cupcakes on the porch to celebrate all the moms in your life. Surprise her by packing a picnic lunch, and enjoy your lunch on one of our porches or down by the water. Let the kids play by the koi pond, and just enjoy a few hours of serenity and yummy treats. Give your senses a treat as you tour the greenhouse, and then check out all of the brand new

We will be having a low cost paint-and-take pot for the kids to make for Mom, as well! Don’t forget that the greenhouse will be a treat to the senses, and the gift shop is overflowing with great gift ideas for moms and grandmas alike.

Learn (or Re-Learn) how to Knit. This class will be geared toward young people age 8 and up. Teens too can join in! Learn how to cast on and knit. This class, and a little practice, will prepare you for the project over the next two days. Please preregister – space is limited. Cost for the two day project class is $20 and includes supplies.

Covid-19 Mobile Vaccine Clinic

McIntosh Memorial Library of Viroqua will be hosting COVID-19 vaccination clinics in the library lobby every Monday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. beginning Monday, Nov. 29 and ending Dec. 20.

This is an AMI Expeditionary Healthcare COVID-19 mobile vaccination clinic community event.

The Pfizer vaccine for those 5 to 11 years old (two-dose series), Pfizer 12 years old and up (two-dose series and boosters age 18-plus; Moderna 18 years old and up (two-dose series and boosters), and Johnson & Johnson for those 18 years old and up (one and done dose and boosters) will be available.

COVID-19 vaccines are free and no insurance information is collected.

The library is located at 205 S. Rock Ave., Viroqua.
