See Viroqua: Art Unveiling!

See Viroqua Arts Unveiling is just around the corner! With funding and support from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) and Arts Wisconsin, The Viroqua Chamber Main Street has launched the “See Viroqua” Arts Project.  Inspired by iconic WPA Posters of the 1930’s and 40’s, the Viroqua Chamber Main Street has commissioned six local artists to create a unique poster celebrating and promoting Viroqua.

On Thursday, October 14 from 6-8pm, the original pieces will be unveiled at a public reception at Rooted Spoon in downtown Viroqua. Art will be revealed at 6:30, followed by a reception. The artists will be present to reveal their art and inspiration, hors d’oeuvres will be provided, and Rooted Spoon will open the bar for refreshments.  Prints of the art will be available at the event, and throughout the holiday season.

For more information, please contact the Viroqua Chamber Main Street at (608)637-2575 or infodesk@viroqua-wisconsin.com

Harvest Celebration

Come out to Eckert Park on October 9th at to celebrate the harvest season! Nobody has come forward to organize the parade portion of this event, and for good reason. We gather in close proximity to watch the parade and to put on costumes. But the park portion of the event offers a safe opportunity to still get together before the season comes to a close. We plan to run music until the Driftless Fire Tribe performs at 8pm to close the event. Bring out your kids and enjoy a nice day of music, dance, and a fire show in the park!
