Harvest Celebration

Come out to Eckert Park on October 9th at to celebrate the harvest season! Nobody has come forward to organize the parade portion of this event, and for good reason. We gather in close proximity to watch the parade and to put on costumes. But the park portion of the event offers a safe opportunity to still get together before the season comes to a close. We plan to run music until the Driftless Fire Tribe performs at 8pm to close the event. Bring out your kids and enjoy a nice day of music, dance, and a fire show in the park!

Outdoor Concert: Dead Horses with Pat Ferguson

Join us at Sidie Hollow for our Music in the Parks finale! Dead Horses will be joined by Pat Ferguson for an amazing evening! Bring a chair, bring a friend! Food and drink will be on site!

Dead Horses:
Dead Horses isn’t a band in the conventional sense. Rather, it’s an intimate, folk-inspired conversation between two close friends. At its core, the participants are guitarist/singer Sarah Vos and bassist Daniel Wolff. The Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based pair’s dialogue continues with an eclectic five-song EP, Birds (released February 7), which includes the band’s previously released singles “Family Tapes,” “Mighty Storm,” and “Birds Can Write The Chorus.” Dead Horses weave together a vibrant patchwork of classic and contemporary influences that span trad roots, indie- folk, and other experimental musical idioms. Through it all, the union of Sarah’s emotive songwriting with Dan’s intrepid bass playing transcends the singer-songwriter-with-backup-musicians paradigm.

Pat Ferguson:
Originally making waves as a founding member and lead guitarist for longtime Midwest music scene staple, Smokin’ Bandits, LoHi Records recording artist Pat Ferguson (Madison, WI) has emerged as a nationally renowned solo performer, songwriter, and vocalist. His finger and flat-picking style channels Americana, bluegrass, and folk; a signature sound deeply influenced by his Upper Mississippi River musical roots.

Cloud Cult – Historic Temple Theater

“A sprawling kaleidoscopic invocation of the life force with songs that veer from jubilation to simmering prayerful meditation.” – The New York Times. Cloud Cult began as Craig Minowa’s solo studio project, and over the course of ten studio albums the band has grown with an evolving lineup of musicians. Cloud Cult has received accolades including MTV, New York Times, Entertainment Weekly and has had several albums at the top of the college radio charts. They’ve declined major record label deals in favor of staying independent. The common thread through what Cloud Cult does as a creative collective is their uplifting message, continual celebration of life and love and catharsis through music.

Captain Gravitone and the String Theory Orchestra in Concert

“A Universe Parallel to Our Own,” is Captain Gravitone & the String Theory Orchestra’s 2nd release. It explores the characters in the
fictional world of Captain Gravitone, super-hero of the new millennia and his life in the circus. Quintessentially original, lyrical, with social commentary, pseudo-physics and humor. Gravitone’s roots-based music covers multiple genres, an array of rhythms, with fabulous performances by the band and their friends.
